- In the year ahead, we don't foresee a significant reversal in trade tensions even if the US and China sign a "phase one" deal.
- The pivot to looser monetary policy by central banks around the world will persist.
- We expect the European Central Bank to leave policy broadly unchanged in 2020 under new President Christine Lagarde.
